To the young adults here, have you ever been estranged from a parent?

If so, was it for a good reason? Would you please share why if you can? How long was the estrangement for? And last, what caused you to go back and finally be on good terms with your parent?

I don't interact with either of my parents outside of social gatherings with the rest of my family.
One of my parents decided to blame me for everything unpleasant in their life since I was 6 and the other has only ever appeared in my life to steal money from me so they could pay off their debts for sex services.
I effectively moved out of home when I was 15, and I never went back.

I only show up because of my grandparents who aren't aware that I don't really interact with my mother anymore.
If I brought up that I have an issue with her they would most definitely side with her and I wouldn't be welcome there either.
