Why hasn't my mom moved anything on my room?

• A bit of an odd question I know. But I moved out from my mother's house to live with my boyfriend a year ago.

• Today I stayed and noticed she hasn't changed anything to my room and my bathroom. (My mom has her bathroom inside her room , mine is right beside my room but outside)

• Does that has a meaning?

• Im not sure she really likes my boyfriend? So she just leaves everything the same in hopes i fail she can be like Gothel from Tangled "MOOOTHEER KNOWS BEST".

• Or is it just a cute act of a mom suffering on a bit of silence suffering from her only daughter leaving?

• She doesn't say anything about how she feels that's been one of my top tier reasons of why i left.

• Anyways this is on detail what i mean.

• So bathroom and room haven't been cleaned at all. All dusty, bed, floor, washbasin... None of the things i left are used.

• Like... usually you throw away things left behind, or use them, or ask me if i will pick it up, or anything at all.

• So i just don't know probably has no idea what to do with it? I don't know

You've only been gone a year. It might seem like a long to to you, but it doesn't to her.

She thinks there is a very good chance you'll be back. So do I.

It's there when you come visit.

On top of that, she probably doesn't see any real reason to change anything.

It's your stuff. She doesn't feel like it's her right to do anything with your stuff.

And of course her little girl is gone. But she knew that would happen since the day you were born. It's not always easy for Mom though.

Also, it makes her feel old, and that's hard for her to deal with. I hope her daughter gives her hugs every now and then.

She has no use for your room, nor for 'your' bathroom'.
So she does not waste her time to re-arrange it.

Maybe she just doesn’t want to touch it because she can’t believe you’re gone or she’s just too lazy I wouldn’t be too much into it
