How to deal with a complicated friendship/tell if it's over?

So I'm in hs grade 11, and I had a friend group of 4 including me (I'll call them as A, B, and C). 2 of my friends (A and B) had a fight and stopped being friends, and B left for their other friends group. I was still friends with both, but recently friend B got upset at me and said I shouldn't hang out with them while with the other group. I apologized , but we haven't talked since, and I heard some kinda rude things that B did to C. However my dilemma is that I wonder if B will end our friendship over something like this? They got mad over some things at both A and C before (which were reasonable things), but didn't get mad at me until now. I haven't seen B since then, and I don't know if I should text about it. Something about the whole thing doesn't seem right the more I think about it, and I felt more close to B than A or C...

Update: walked by B and tried to say hi while passing by, but I could tell B was avoiding eye contact and didn't respond. I guess I know the answer now...

This reminds of one of my old maths questions at school,.

The way to approach it is the same you would ANY relationship, be it friends OR boyfriend/girlfriend.. You fight tooth and nail to keep it alive, but once it is dead, wipe your hands of it completely.

That way if everyone who knows you decides they want to keep it alive, they had better try whilst you are still interested!

I have applied this philosophy to EVERY friendship / relationship since I was 19 and it has served me very well

Using my theory above, I would say as long as you do your part in keeping the friendship alive, it is out of your hands. IF the friendship doesn't survive, it won't be because your lack of trying. I cannot say without first speaking to your friends whether you are all strong enough to make it survive.

This sounds like a lot of drama for a guy group (it is a guy group right) but as MagicalWorld said B probably likes to pick fights so it might be best to cut him loose.

My sister is a junior too and this is the kinda thing I’d expect from girls, she’s dealt with a lot of stuff like this this year.

This is really confusing, but based on your deets, B seems to pick up fights with everyone... Ask yourself if he's really worth it
