People who don't handle criticism well tend to get angry and defensive.

My parents claim I'm angry when I change my tone and express some emotion 🙄. Meanwhile they yell and start insulting others like a Karen and don't admit they got mad. I usually don't get defensive but if my parents clearly make up lies then I'll call out their BS. They seem to conveniently forget about the majority of the times I don't get defensive nor show any emotion.

Well me calling out on their BS has worked since they've argued with me less and less over the years. And as of last year, they've decided they no longer want me staying at home with them once I graduate from college. I was already semi independent from them years ago, before the pandemic hit. I could've moved out years ago but I despise living with others based on past renting, so I'm waiting until I'm ready to afford renting all to myself.

Living on your own is definitely expensive, but it's also important to have a bit of independence. Your relationship with your parents may even improve once you have some space from them.
It can also be exciting to get out on your own, maybe even have a women over.
It's better than hanging out and arguing with your parents over trivial things.

I can't really see myself affording a condo apartment in the downtown area lol. And if I decide to rent in the ghetto areas or in a more rural place, the money saved would go toward other expenses.

Hmm... that is difficult.
I grew up in a small town. The first house I rented when I moved out was a little one bedroom shack. I moved in there with my girlfriend. The rent wasn't much and the utilities were included.
We were both working.
It's way more expensive for you living in the city these days I imagine.

I can possibly move to a different province but since I don't drive a car it'll be expensive to go there by train or plane. I'm from Canada where everything is more expensive than America even after adjusting for currency.

Only you know what kind of funds you will have after college, and what type of living arrangement you can afford. Maybe you could search around the city and find a basement suite or something to rent temporarily until you get a good job.

I've lived in a basement room before and it was the worst. I'm currently in the process of applying for disability benefits. Before college, I attended university but I got suspended cause of reasons I won't disclose publicly. I'm actually one of the lucky ones since others have been expelled for doing way less than what I did. My friends have agreed the university overreacted and shouldn't have suspended me at all. If you're wondering, I'm not actually 20 years old, I'm a bit older and I never put my real birthdate except when applying on government websites lol. I know I could've prevented myself from being suspended, though in the end it worked out for me. I don't think I'll ever go back there unless the administration literally welcomes me back with no strings attached.

I originally could've had my suspension lifted back in 2020 had the pandemic not occured. Basically me and the university came to a mutual agreement that so long as I attended some coaching sessions that proved I had potential to behave myself I'd be let back in. The coach got a flu and then shortly after the lockdowns happened so transitioning to online sessions from his end took awhile. Seeing how everything was gonna be done remotely, I honestly saw no point in continuing to borrow more money to attend. College is far cheaper than university and is more helpful in employment so I don't mind at all.

Well ultimately you just need a job unless your disability hinders you from working.
Then I'm not sure what you do. Hopefully the disability amount is is enough.

I can work but part time won't give me enough money and based on my past job hunts, I'm far more likely to work full time anyways. I only worked once at some warehouse for a few hours before I got fired lol. All because of the recruiting agency not preparing me for the job lol, and I overheard from the HR staff that the agency hired too many people. So obviously since I'm the weakest link, they'd let me go first.

Lol well since majority of the time I ignore them or be emotionless, I doubt I can't handle criticism. My mom in particular won't even accept super PC constructive criticism.
