Does the tendency to share things come naturally? How do the people with siblings differ from people with no siblings in this department?

I am a single child. And I have to admit, I do not like sharing at all.

Some say it is because I am a single child. But I beg to differ. I believe it is in my nature to not like sharing things.

What do you guys think?

I was the only child for 6 years. I still dont share. Buying food for the fam is one thing but sharing my plate, bed, toys (as a kid), and the remote are all heck no’s. I still keep all my toys in the closet and my future kids will get to watch me play with them but they will need their own 😂

"I believe it is in my nature to not like sharing things." Of course it is yur nature, and the development of that nature was shaped by the fact that you grew up as an only child.

I dated a woman who was an only child and she was frequently self-centered and oblivious to the impact that her actions had on me. It was not a conscious thought process with her; it was just her nature, and that's why I eventually broke up with her.

I'm also a single child, and it comes VERY naturally to me. In our apartment, there is no such thing as possession. We've shared clothes, food, dishes, sheets, pretty much everything!

I think that people who have siblings tend to be more open to sharing. I don't think it comes naturally.
