Was it weird that I walked in the middle of the road to grab a knife I saw?

I was driving to work and saw something shimmery in the road with a black handle. It looked like a knife to me. I almost didn't but I turned around and drove back to where I saw it. It was definitely a knife. I walked out in the middle of the road to grab it. There was a guy waiting for me. He honked and I saw him throw his hands up in the air. He then zoomed pass when I moved out of the way.

I would not have turned around for it but I have stopped for stuff I see by the side of the road. There is np trash pickup in my town so everyone has to take their trash to the dump. Sometimes empty barrels fall out if pickup trucks. I probably have 5 of them I found. I have quite a few tools as well. People fix their cars nd forget to pick up the tools.

I see people stop all the time to clear junk from the roads so that other people don't end up with flat tires.

It was rather retarded behaviour and all for a cheap knife.

What gave you the idea that it's a cheap knife? And I went into the road to retrieve the knife, so someone didn't get a flat tire, and die in a crash.
