My cousin just hmu and asked me to hurry up and have a baby because she’s bored and wants a kid to love on. Mind you she has a wholeass husband, but neither wants kids. (Or at least he says he doesn’t because she doesn’t.) And They got a house filled with a million cats. If I even had a kid, we would never go over there anyways lmao 😂 I’m extremely tempted to tell her, just go make a baby but I try to be sympathetic because she gave up trying after miscarrying back in college. And now all she does is have abortions which I don’t respect that either, but she surely ain't getting more time with my kid than I would lol. Plus she’s too girly and she wants me to have a girl that she can doll up. Like nah, I’m more about natural shit and not into the makeup and nailpolish and all of that. Not happening. Wrong cousin, wrong future kid 😤
+1 yMore time with my own of course... I came them into this world, I'll bring em through it best I can myself lol or rather with wife who birthed them, but we'd share I imagine or fight over them. Either is perfect behaviour as parents I say. Most fathers baffle me, very few I know match the standard I would want to be at to just qualify for having kids. Miscarriage is a horrible thing to go through too for mothers who want it so bad, I've only seen miscarriages from the outside and I know I don't know how I'd move on with that. I'd hope they could try again, but I know I'd be real hesitant too. I'm fairly new to thinking of having children as a legit reality, we'll be doin' all sorts of things I never did growing up though. I'd rarely keep them inside the house. They're never gonna be a chore to me. That's what I know for certain. Poetically I love the picture it paints in my mind. Used to think of it differently for sure. My mind went, well look at the world, might as well wait for kingdom come at this point essentially. Or a family was rendered pointless to me in general, just a distraction from everyone's true purpose in my eyes. But I started seeing a purpose in having a family and I feel the whole lesson of why we're meant to make a family. All the lessons you embark on. And yeah I can't imagine wanting to lend them off to others that often or at all. They'd have to be the kid's favorite or something first.

No. And I'm a teacher saying this.
Kids are fine WHEN they aren't being loud, dumb, or selfish. ... How often does that happen, though? I don't hate my students or anything at all though, but raising them 24/7 would drive me insane. I've only had a handful of students, maybe four, all girls, were I could say "I'd be proud if she was my daughter" and I felt like heir parents were doing absolutely everything right.
So I'll say option D, but overall, I'd rather live alone. At best, maybe I could be a separated father on really good terms with my hypothetical daughter's mother, but that's about it. I'm not sure I'd want to love with anyone at all.02 Reply- +1 y

+1 yKids nowadays are terrible and then you meet their parents and they’re kids too so you’re not really surprised 🤦🏼♀️ I often look at people and wonder why they have kids when they can’t discipline them, their kids and the parents have zero manners or morals… it’s just all havoc and those kids end up being terrible in school. Not listening, got a big attitude, stealing time away from other kids learning because you have to stop and discipline these kids, etc.
At family gatherings my mom would tell us how all my aunts would talk shit about their kids and how their kids were pissing them off and they would “joke” about wanting to get rid of their kids, then it came to my mom and she always said she had nothing to complain about with my brother and I as we were well behaved, etc.
So honestly yeah some kids I’d hate to be around and tbh I have no filter and will tell people that.
I’d be devastated if I never had my own kids though… I’d love to have at least two or three of my own. I’m also not into the whole thing of family always wanting to have my baby. Like damn it just came out of me and I want to bond. I hate the idea of people showing up at the hospital or constantly asking to hold my baby unless you’re close family like sister/brother/parents/grandparents. I don’t even have a baby but I got all these rules and things I’m okay and not okay withLol01 Reply- +1 y
Yes like I used to love kids but those little fckers are horrible these days. I rather just have my own lmao
+1 yI sure do adore other people's kids, but I have a time limit with the adoration until I get bored and want to go back to feeling like a child-free adult. I love playing with kids and exercising their imagination with fun activities such as, playing with their action figures/dolls and having them create whole identities and scenarios for the toys. Then creating adventures and such with what was thought up. I used to do it with my little cousins and siblings all the time until it turned toxic ( e. g. parents trying to get me to play mother to them, babysit them for FREE during my WEEKENDS, etc) which is what gave birth to my reflexive time limit with adoration I have for them.

Lmao until you get bored
805 opinions shared on Family & Friends topic. I'm not particularly fond of kids. People who have young kids, and even some people who have pet dogs, love them with all their hearts. Because they think they are adorable and precious, they just assume that everyone will agree. But I don't. I'll be polite and play along, but keep those things away from me and keep them quiet.
Don't get me wrong. I love dogs, just not as much as their owners do. I like kids, too, as long as they are well behaved. And it can be fun to watch them playing outside in groups, enthusiastically exploring life. I can relate to being their age, being curious and eager to learn.01 Reply- +1 y
Well at least you still give em a chance
+1 yLol ima keep my comments to myself and just answer the question cuz... yeah...
I love kids in general. I work with them. I have 9 godchildren that I'm crazy about. Oldest is 17, youngest is 3. I also have nieces and nephews that I spoil rotten. I've always loved kids which is why it sucks that I have yet to have any of my own. But, soon come 🙏🏾
02 Reply- +1 y
Daaaamg thats a lot of Godchildren. Over here they sadly only want you tonbe a godparent to support the kid financially when they dont. So no one wants that title over here. It unfortunately doesn't mean that the kid will be left to the godparent if the parent dies
- +1 y
I spoil my gks with love, time spent, and being there for em. They mamas know that I got em if anything ever happens to em but they also have dads and other family that would trump me.

+1 yWhen I was single, I didn’t care if I have kids.
I also ran away when my friends started having kids.
I have 2 and I take great care of them that’s about it.
I also teach a bunch every year. But I am not emotionally attached to any.06 Reply- +1 y
You’re at least emotionally attached to your own right? Lmao
- +1 y
It really. Doesn’t mean I don’t love them.
My little sister just have a baby. She is surprised how she is soooo anxious.
I was never like that. My mom used to yelled at me for not being more “loving” “caring” towards my babies.
I would feed them then drop them to let them go to sleep or let them play on their own. I am
Also not the type to baby them. - +1 y
Would you die for them?
- +1 y
No silly… however, I’m sure I will die before them. Hahaaa..
We all came from families of longevity… our grandparents all lived into their 90s… I’m
Sure I will too. And I also told my kids they have to make babies to continue our blood line. - +1 y
No i mean if someone threatened to hurt them would you risk your life protecting them?
- +1 y
Of course lol…
I still love them and care for them… but I am so emotionally attached to them or any kids.
After my sister married, I was anxious for a niece and/or nephew. The newlyweds took their sweet time getting around to it, but it was well worth the wait. I adore my niece, and my nephew and I share a love of baseball, along with an interest in firearms and motorcycles.
Spending time with smaller kids is fine... when you can send them home to their parents.
01 Reply- +1 y
Yea i think thats why she said that. She wants to send them back at the end of the day haha
I used to think that I would rather either just staying as the favorite uncle or adopting but the more I see how well some people get along with their kids and how well my dad, mom and I get along I can see me having at least a couple of my own…I don’t want a big family though! Lol!
02 Reply- +1 y
Yea i used to want 12 but im good with having at least 1 now haha
I don't have kids, but the women that I have that did, their kids were amazing... so much fun and young at heart. Example going to the zoo with one of my ex's kids was one of the funniest experiences, they had the best time ever.. and they were so excited
01 Reply- +1 y
Awwww
It's not that I don't want kids. I do, but it's very unlikely that I'll ever have any. Preferably girls bc boys are too loud and if what I've seen from other people's male kids, they're like machines for questions and that's not something I'll be able to endure for long. 🤣
03 Reply- +1 y
Girls are usually more loud andgossipy. Boys are only loud when rowdy and high on candy sugar haha
- +1 y
Not in my experience. My best friend's wife's sister has 3 kids - 2 girl and 1 boy. The girls are always so quiet, you can hardly notice there are girls in the area, whereas when the boy and his friends are around you need earplugs. Also a few years ago our neighbours were a big family - 3 boys and 4 girls. These boys were not only too loud but they were those machines for questions I mentioned earlier. The mother told me she can rarely get a good sleep at night because of the boys. And no, they weren't toddlers, all 3 were 6, 9 and 10 years old.

I don't know i helped my mom with other peoples kids since i was a kid myself. The guy mustve been mamas boys or something because they were shy and adorably quiet. They just wanted to be held and hugged. The girls were very talkative and snappy. I just dont get along with othrr girls but i’d love to have a daughter
+1 yI votes d but yes I do adore other's kids but don't have my life arranged for kids ATM but one day maybe I don't mind if my stable minded husband wants.

I mean i already wrote this, then i read she had a miscarriage :( So i'm not trying to be an asshole here.01 Reply- +1 y

Damn pets over people in general 😂 whats about pussy over pussy? Would you give up kat for the pet cat lol
- +1 y
That's a tough one, having a pet really helps you not be lonely and they're always there for you and happy to see you as long as you keep them fed, girls can be the same way I guess but they get mad at you lol, it'd have to be some real good kat for me to give up my cat, he's the sweetest cat I've had lol
