What is the cheapest way to give birth?

I was watching a YouTube video, a skit about when parents find out that giving birth is expensive. I was wondering if that was true, so I did a small amount of research and was wondering if I could hire a doctor to deliver my future baby at home rather than at a hospital and do whatever they do to babies after they are out of the womb/stomach. I was wondering would I need to go to the hospital to get a birth certificate. I want to know everything I need to know about having a home pregnancy. I have read that I will need to study on how to do home pregnancies to be safe.

Nurse here. Be very, very careful with your research on home births. You are going to get into a lot of things that aren't true because they want your money and they have no trust in medical facilities.

There is a lot that can go wrong during childbirth. If you don't have trained personnel with access to the right equipment and supplies, your life and your child's life can be in danger.

Personally, yes it would be. I don't work in L&D but I do with in an ICU and I have had 2 mothers as patients due to complications during birth.

Get some good insurance and it'll be super cheap and or completely free. I've had 3 kids all on different insurances and they've been completely free at the hospital. I'd love a homebirth but it'd actually cost about 5k to have one if I wanted that so 5k vs free and ima go with free.

I would definitely suggest having your first child in a hospital. If something goes wrong you do t want to have to drive 30 minutes to an hour while you or your baby is dying.

In my state, it's not. It's 14k USD and I am over here, worrying that I may not have that much money in the future.

It changes a lot per country. In a lot of countries, it's not worth saving on this.
