Should I give my guy friend space after an argument last night?

My guy friend and I have been friends since 5th grade and we are now in 10th grade. We got reconnected a couple weeks ago with our 3 other friends from 5th grade. We’ve always messed and joked around with each other, that’s how we get along. We’ve never gotten into an argument before and this was a really bad argument. We got into a huge argument last night when we were on FaceTime and after we got off FaceTime, we both apologized to each other over text and agreed to try to not argue anymore and to not mess with each other anymore.
He’s saying that he’s not mad at me anymore but I think he still is. Should I try to give him some space today?

Well you've mutually apologized and that's really the most important step done already. I would say that you know the relationship between the two of you best so go with your gut. avoiding him too much might make it awkward in it's own way. You could even just straight up ask "Hey, I know it was a big fight so I want to respect your feelings here. Do you want some space for a while or are you comfortable moving on from it?"
