I have a friend who is beautiful, and it irks me sometimes. I try my best to be a good friend despite sometimes feeling inadequate around her, but it's sometimes rubbed in my face when we are out. We'll walk past a group of men and they will only catcall her, or stop to talk to her. And they won't say anything to me.
Also, I never get compliments from other girls unless they are my close friends. When I am with this friend, it's ridiculous the amount of compliments she gets from other women. They even stop to tell ME that my friend is beautiful. It would be different if I also got attention at different times, but when I am with her I am never noticed.
It makes me so angry but I try to keep it in. How can I deal with this? Why do I feel this way when she gets attention and I don't?
