Why do my friends compliment each other but not me?

I've noticed some of them often compliment each other. One of my friend does it because she's kinda in awe of another friend. But they also compliment girls that aren't pretty and don't dress well but who always talk about themselves. I sometimes compliment them, and it's always sincere but they never do.

I don't need to be complimented by my friends, but the fact they compliment each other but never me is a little hurtful. Do they consider myself as ugly?

Paradoxically, guys tend to check me out a lot, stare at me, sometimes I heard them saying I'm hot as I walk past them, some guys even tried to approach me. But my friends, those who compliment each other, they are never checked out, no boys approach them (I hang out with them all the time), except one of my friends who is really pretty.

Why do my friends compliment each other but not me? Why do they compliment even girls that aren't pretty at all?
Also, if my friends don't compliment me, why do guys act like this with me?

im having the same problem which worries me.
i always post a selfie or sth and yeah. people do like it but no one ever compliments on the photo. lmao i sound so vain and selfish but i dont care. we all need a confidence boost from time to time.
so when my best friend posts a selfie everyone always compliments her and say 'oh you look so cute like with that hairstyle!' or 'omg you look so hot stop it' and i worry a lot over that fact. especially since its the same people sometimes who likes both our selfies.

Maybe they dont feel the need to reassure you of your attractivness as the fact you are constantly approached etc is reassurance enough they are probably trying to boost the confidence of those girls that dont get much attention from men

But the fact is that they don't pay much attention to me and they don't know all that happens to me, never talk about it to me, whereas I pay attention to what is happening around so I notice if someone look at them

I was the same until i spoke to my friends about how i felt they didn't even realise its how i felt since then they have made much more of an effort to make me feel included... maybe you should tell them how you feel if they are your friends they wouldn't want you to feel that way
