How often should you take family portraits?

I recommend every time you are all together for holidays or at least yearly. If you mean just yourself spouse and kids then holidays and special outings but no less than a year. I saw one family who every year took a picture at xmass all wearing the same thing and all in the same places and background.

Me and my family we really never took any family portraits. But I said whenever I have a family of my own at least every year.

I think they're so cute. Family pictures should be taken pretty often in my opinion, because family members tend to change and grow pretty often. It's also nice to record the memories.

Never got to be in one but my family used to do it every Christmas but not with ugly sweaters or me, I wasn't allowed to be in them.
