This weekend at a wedding reception, my nephew (20), massaged his cousins (f18) feet and legs after she complained about them being sore from dancing. At one point he smelled his hands and made a face like they stunk from touching her feet. Then she was trying to put them in his face and laughing, then he grabbed her ankle and bit her big toe. Most people there said it was "weird and inappropriate behavior", including my wife. I didn't think much of it. They were fairly close growing up and haven't seen each other in a couple years, so I just figured they were getting reacquainted and playing around but my wife and my sister were saying touching someone like that is to intimate for cousins, whether they're goofing around or not. Then they got me, they asked if I would like another man touching my wife like that! The answer was, NO. But I still feel it wasn't a big deal. How about you? Is it inappropriate for cousins to behave like that? Girls, how intimate do you feel a foot massage is?

I think it's fine. They seem super close. The only weird thing to me is him smelling his hands afterwards. Seems like they were acting like kids.

I don't know any of my cousins. The only people I'd let massage me are licensed professionals.

As a person who has kissed his cousin and is currently in love with them. Who cares. We live, then we die. Do what you want unless it's affecting other people directly and more than just their own ideas of what you should be doing and shouldn't based on arbitrary things. Otherwise why even live.
