Is Demy (pronounced as Dem-EE) a good name for a girl?

I like to think about girl names that are unique but also cute but I’m very picky about names especially girl names.

The first thing that came to my mind when I read your question was the actress Demi Moore. I have been seeing and hearing the name DEMI more and more lately. I figured they copied it from Demi Moore. I don't know who the other Demi us they're talking about. If you thought of that name on your own, I would like it better.
I heard a cute girls name once that I liked. This little girl used to come into my work with her mom. One day I asked what the little girls name was. She said "Ramey". Then I asked where she got the name from. She said like in music when you say DO RAY ME FA SO LA TE DOH 🎵🎼🎵(sorry if I spelled them wrong 🙂).

The meaning of Demi by itself means half, that’s why I changed the spelling.

Though Demi Moore is a well-known actress, it wouldn't be my choice of a name for a child. Demi means "half" and people might ask "Half of what?"

@Lynn2001 Changing the spelling can have its own drawbacks. I knew a coupe who liked the name Brian for their newborn son, but they wanted to be unique so they spelled it Bryon. When he got to school, all his teachers thought his name was Byron, and the kid was totally confused. In hindsight, the parents agreed it had been a mistake, but it was too late to do much about it.

A lot will probably associate it with Demi Lovato rather than Demi Moore and I dont think thats a good thing. I feel there are better names out there but if Demi is what your heart is set on, go for it
