Is it okay to post pictures of your daughters in bikinis online?

My brothers has daughters who are 11 and 8. He recently posted pictures of them wearing bikinis at the beach on Instagram. I'm not sure this is appropriate, due to the pedos out there.

I have a lot of friends/family that post pics of their kids in swimwear. I also know people who are very careful about what kinds of pics they post of their daughters.

At the end of the day it's his decision. You're welcome to say something if you feel like it's important.

depends on the age , over 16 its generally considered ok to post them. under 16 it depends on the context and what there doing and who is able to view the pictures

I've occasionally posted pictures of my 7 year old son at the beach online. Girl's swimwear is more revealing than boy's swimwear, so I don't know if I'd do it if I had a daughter.

But it's your brother's choice on what he posts, not yours.

I feel that’s inappropriate. If they were of age and posting the photos themselves, then that’s fine, but I feel as a father you should be protecting your daughters, not posting exposing photos of them online for the world to see.

Maybe he should cover them from head to toe, in a long T-shir, when they're on the beach. That way the pedo's can't see anything. Would that be appropriate?
