Should I stay home from the trip tomorrow if im expecting an important call?

Brother owns a gutter business. I was helping him and we dropped a gutter and damaged the house. My brother put caulking on it and paint and is refusing to tell the owners. I called the owner yesterday and I said I'd pay for it to be repaired properly. She said that her husband would be here today to look at the damage with me. She said she would have him call me I think she said today. I didn't get a call. Well my mom is going on a small trip tomorrow to a town 30 mins away to go shopping with her. She goes every other week. I really wanna go but what if this guy calls and wants to meet me tomorrow? I dont want him just waiting around for me to get back. Should I just stay home in case I need to meet him?

Thanks, I just met with the guy and he said that its no big deal, and I don't have to pay for anything, so it worked out better then expected.
