When you have a problem in your life and need $10,000 and you have no money and no friends to help you, what should you do to solve the problem?

My answer is somewhat long; skip to my “in summary,” for the brief answer ⬇️

• Try to discuss a payment plan with whoever requires the 10,000 dollars from you (or me, if this is hypothetical). Show them what you would put into place to get them that money (proof of employment); etc.
• If it’s taking too long to save up, or it’s (the fee is) urgent, try to take out a loan (this should be a ‘last resort,’ unless you’re sure you’d be able to pay it back in efficient time).
• Ask a (few) family member’s for fair portions of it (as a loan), and write some kind of IOU and show them a consistent schedule of you paying their portions back.

Work overtime if you can.

• Apply for a job with less requirements and better pay. Like the post office or some mailing/ shipping agency.
• There are some games/apps/ where you can supposedly get paid to leave reviews or play (and win)? A bingo game. It’s not a lot of money, but it can help you get closer to your mark.
• While working or if not working. There is an app for day to day jobs, I think? I heard it from someone and they hire you for the day (it’s legal), and you get paid for just that day. Maybe try those daily, while you wait for another stable source of income?
• Any job or main form of income you have, can be combined with a side hustle? You can make things from scratch, and sell them for a decent, but higher price, to make a profit.
• Resell of tickets is an option, but it’s not always guaranteed to work. It’s more of a gamble.

So in summary:

•Negotiate a more doable timeline/ payment plan (buys you time)

•Break down the fee and divide it between you and some trust worthy family members (the more members, the more doable because the smaller the individual price will be)- they would need promised compensation, ofc

•Working Overtime (extra hours; extra pay)

• Make Quick bucks on the side (games/ reviews)- not sure if it’s trustworthy so do a quick research

•Working Freelance (app)

•Working for better pay (major company jobs with little requirements)

•Side Hustles (legal) ex: home-made cupcakes/ makeup/ candles/ etc.

•Resells

•Bank Loan

For medical? That is how people die.
For anything else that is how people go bankrupt. Or stuck and unable to pay.
It is a common issue these days and no easy solutions. You can be rich or have a nice nest egg, both could be gone in a heartbeat.

I don’t see myself blindly walking into a situation where I owe ten grand and don’t already have it stacked up somewhere. That said, if you have decent credit, which you probably don’t you could always apply for a 0% credit card with like a ten to fifteen grand credit limit, and then use it to float the debt for a year at 0% while you save to pay it off. You have to be disciplined about it, but I doubt you are too disciplined if you walk face first into a tend thousand dollar debt. That is unless it’s some sort of medical debt due to an accident. If that’s the situation, then call the hospital/doctors that billed you and negotiate a lower price and possible payment plan. They will often settle for less, rather than nothing if you were just going to default and ignore the bill.

Save money in a savings account, get a small revolving loan credit from a bank like no more than a $1000.00 and pay on the loan on time, pay more money if you can on the loan. This can help you out.
