How should I deal with this client who asked if I damaged their house?

My brother owns a gutter business. I went to help him about a week ago. We dropped a gutter and caused some damage on the house. My brother put caulking on it and and painted it and said he wasn't going to tell the owners. I felt bad so I called the owners and told them what happend. I met the husband at the house and showed him. He said it's not a big deal and I don't need to worry about it. Well I just got a picture from the wife of some damage on the house I know we didn't cause and she asked if I know anything about it. I want to say that we didn't cause the damage but I don't know how.
