I have it on camera I have security cameras outside my house

If you have it on camera give the footage to both the police and your insurance company, it's there job to sort it after all that's what you're paying them for. Once sorted email the video to his employer.

I certainly would. You'll have to take him to small claims court, which is a hassle. But for $6000, it's worth it.
Talk to small claims advisor and get advice on how to proceed.

file a police report and send the bill to his insurance company, or contact your insurance company, give them his information and let them do the work.
