Is it normal for parents to yell at grown children?

I'm 27 and my brother is 30 and my dad still yells at us whenever he disagrees with something we do. I don't even know how to respond when he does, I just feel like a child again, I feel so scared. When he gets mad, he gets really mean. He calls us names and screams at the top of his lungs. He called me a whore when he saw me drinking wine (I was 26), I wasn't even tipsy, it was a glass with dinner. And he didn't talk to me for 10 days.

Depends on the circumstances. Having a drink when you're legally allowed to is not one of those circumstances.

I could understand his reaction if he caught you smoking crack or something.
