Long story short - they are both almost 50. But this relationship is toxic: he uses her for money, calls her names I even think that he gets physical; he brainwashed het into thinking that her own family (parents and kids) doesn’t like her and that we are bad influence (he does that to control her- she never even picks up her phone around him; he is alcoholic. She was in abusive relationship before and divorced only because her ex wanted to.
i can easily pack his stuff and throw him out. But I know that she will run after him and never return.

To the ones thinking that is her business - no. It effects everyone around.

Its not about him. Its about losing my own mother. He is isolating her from everyone. She will end up alone, broke and broken. Guess where she will go then? After all bridges will be burned down.

Listen, all you can do is tell your mother how you feel and let it go at that.

She honestly doesn’t really care. We all said that. But he makes her believe that “we just want to ruin their happiness” when there is no happiness. Sometimes she talks about it herself (when he doesn’t come home for the whole weekend because he is drinking or smth), she said that they need to end things. And then he brainwashes her again.
Is there some kind of pill / drug he may give her? Because she literally acts so much different around him.
