I met someone who uses they/them pronouns and I want to interact with them with respect but I'm stumped on how to say certain things.

How are you - do I say how are them? I want to ask how they are but I'm confused.

Sure! With they/them since it's neutral, just talk the same way as if you didn't know their gender. So you would still say "you" and "we" everything like that that is already neutral pronouns. You would just instead of using gendered pronouns, like "she" "him" "hers" etc, you would use "they" "them" "their" etc.

Yeah just use the same pronouns as with someone who you don't know their gender. Cause they are gender neutral, the same pronouns will apply. Does that make sense?
