Why don't guys get a Sweet 16 or Quinceañera?

I've always wanted to ask this question but always forgot to. Anyways here I am

When I was like 13-15, I have always seen on tv the whole Idea of a Sweet 16. Nowadays, It is more Quinceañera's since they are focusing on the Hispanic culture first time hearing that word was Wizard of Waverly Place, and I always wondered.

Why don't boys get these?

Why is our 15/16 birthday so much undermined compared to our female counterpart? Luckily for me, it was just a tv thing, but I bet so many brothers thought their sister was the favourite child as she got the better, more extravagant birthday.

to a Female: HAPPY SWEET 16 (I N S E R T N A M E H E R E) here is your giant party
to a Male: Hey, happy birthday with a pat on the back if we are lucky

For the same reason our sisters don't get SS registration cards or bits of their genitals cut off when they're newborns: because the social expectations on us are different, and the social support offered to us is different. Western cultures don't really DO rites of passage into adulthood anymore, but women have biology to fall back on in that regard, and we don't.

That said, this particular manifestation is mostly a family thing; some of young men DO get big parties thrown for them.

Because the 15-year-old party was created with the aim of parents presenting their daughter to several men with the aim of her marrying the richest. The woman has always invented celebrations or rituals to take money from the man.

And you didn’t find anything? Also to be clear I’m talking the quince more specifically. Regular American 16th birthdays I’ve always seen both sexes celebrated. All my male cousins got big parties one even a house party.
