It seems I tend to leave behind the people associated with me in different phases of my life. I am unable to maintain contacts therefore. Any way out?

Contacts, be it just contacts or my friends, are I figured, essential. But I am unable to maintain them somehow. From my achool, my college, you name it. They just get discontinued after some time.

How do you at least keep most of the contacts active?

I completely understand what you're saying. It's not easy to keep in touch with the people you met after leaving a place. Unfortunately leaving people behind is part of life. But if you want to keep them near you, you must make an effort and reach out to them. See how they react and if they show that they want you around then keep talking to them. If not, at least you tried and saw how they really are. You'll be ready to move on and to meet new people.

I am doing just that. Those who respond to me, I give response to them.
Just like you said. Where do they prioritise me in their list is seen when the mandatory work with me is completed.

I don't know I only kept in contacts with one. most people from school' youth group etc. we went different ways.

It is deliberate and it takes time. If you want to stay in contact with people, you have to invest the time to contact them.

That said, people think that contact is long and involved. It doesn't have to be. It can just be, "thinking about you". Or a holiday/birthday greeting.

But it does have to be intentional.

It’s the way life seems to go. Everyone is going in different directions and often we loose contacts just due to the direction and business of life we experience.


I suppose the only way to not loose them is keep in closer contact with them.

"They just get discontinued" You phrase this as if it is somthing that is happening to you, out of your control. In reality, it is somethng that you do or fail to do, and you can correct it. . . IF you want to.
