Would you forgive your father after he brainwashed your sibling to go against you and argue with you?

My dad has always brainwashed us to talk bad about each other. As a result we’ve argued amongst our own. However, recently he went to my older brother’s house and brainwashed him into thinking I was a bad person but my dad failed to tell my brother what caused my indifference and me distancing myself from him. Fast forward, my brother gets verbally aggressive with me and I reciprocate. Next day my father blames it on the alcohol and attempts to apologize to me.

I am a firm believer in adults cutting off anyone who abuses or disrespect them. Whether that's parents, siblings, romantic partners, friends, etc.

What's the point in having a family if they don't love you? You don't EVER try to hurt someone's emotions if you love them.

I would not forgive my dad, my dad did some stuff to me and my sister it was verbal abuse, but I still love my dad, but I can't forgive what he did to us.

Same. I was feeling a bit bad because my dad and I were once close but after everything that happened I don’t find it in me to forgive him. I’m not resentful or anything but I want nothing to do with him.
