I’m my own man I do what I want when I want, I do however get the opinions of my family friend on certain things I’m unsure of.


If I’m going to do something I will ask if it’s ok as to not seem rude.


I had a food delivery yesterday and I asked the driver if he’d mind while I took the box through to the kitchen and if he’d mind me closing the door as I don’t want it wide open as it’s freezing out I asked as I didn’t want to just slam the door on him and walk off as it’s rude.

I seek the opinion of others around me. It's generally not a good idea to disregard the words of people around you. After all, the third perspective is often the clearest. I get the final say in my decisions, but I respect the opinions other well-meaning people present. This holds especially true for my parents and lecturers/tutors.

Like it or not, it is usually better with a second opinion, unless this is a choice you know is ethically right, but almost everyone disagrees for some reason.
