I have tried talking and writing on here, and when I ask what they do weekends, its we hang out with friends, why can't they say what they do, if anyone ask me I tell them,

"Hanging out" is a way of disavowing strong emotional investment in an activity so that if it does not go well, they can simply shrug their shoulders and say, "Well, it wasn't a big deal, anyway!"
That's how they descrive dating: hanging out. If they admitted that they were dating, then a break up might be devastating, so instead they convince themselves they are just "hanging out" and when it falls apart, it wasn't really a big deal, anyway. They won't actually admit they're dating until her water breaks and they are on the way to the hospital to deliver their first child.

Because we are old and wouldn't understand. We didn't have the tech they have access to and thank god because I'm not sure I would be here if we did. Remember how out of control parties were when they were word of mouth or passed out via copies. They judge us we judge them and the cycle continues.
To me, hanging out is just going somewhere and relax, talk, eat, etc. We don't really plan it out. Sometimes its like "you wanna go eat Wendy's?".. Or let's go on a car ride, pick some food on the way, eat it near a lake while talking about random topics".. That's hanging out according to my life
It means sornding tone together. I wouldn’t necessarily know what I’m gonna do in advance. I figure it out as I go but if I’m meeting up with friends, that’s the part I know. If I know specifics I’ll mention it but I won’t necessarily know.

'Hang' means spend time together. There might be an activity (way too many to list and not always the same, hence the inability to be specific) or there might be no activity -- it's just together.
i mean it's just the generic blanket term for doing something with friends, people don't generally start going right into the details about what they do so it's just easy to say i hung out with [ ] - either way they were busy
They may be doing lots of things when they "hang out with friends" ... going to the mall, playing video games, seeing a movie, eating at a fast food restaurant. And maybe having sex when parents aren't home.
It means the same thing you meant when your parents asked
"Where are you going? - Nowhere
"What are you doing?" - Nothing much
" Who are you gonna be with" - Nobody special, usual friendsIt is a generic way of saying they are socialising with friends. If you want specifics, you have to make your question specific.
Lots of ways. They're on discord, they're gaming together, they're just in the same room together.
Or its just something they say.means get out and get together in glasgow some people say hangout stote about jump about
They basically just get together and talk about things that they did during the week and also their interests while they probably are drinking and smoking
They just chill together not a specific activity just enjoying socialising with good company
I don’t have friends really, so I wouldn’t know.
Not sure what they mean.
I either go see shows have dinner, play golf or tennis, go to the cinema.
when I say that, I meet my friends and play RPG board games
it depends, it can be just having fun with some friends or it can mean that they gonna have sex with someone, just depends.
Just the usual sex and drugs.
They just want to hangout and socialize
