So I have a problem on some days where I judge others, it doesn't change my behavior towards them and I don't treat anyone with disrespect but my mind is another story.. I noticed that with my dad who i love the most, I tend to also criticize the most sometimes and I don't understand why. My dad also has been the same way with me too, as well as my mom so maybe that's where I learned it from. But I feel so guilty about my thoughts and feelings.. I have no idea why I judge him the way I do when he's the one person in my family who I have a better relationship with over everyone else. Is this just me who has this problem?

It's not uncommon for people to have moments of judgment or criticism towards those they love, even if they don't act on it or treat the person disrespectfully. It's possible that these judgments stem from a variety of factors, including learned behavior from your parents, insecurities, or past experiences. However, it's important to remember that everyone has flaws and imperfections, and it's natural to feel frustrated or disappointed at times.
If you're feeling guilty about your thoughts and feelings towards your dad, it may be helpful to try to understand the root causes of your judgment and work on changing those thought patterns. This could involve therapy, mindfulness practices, or self-reflection. Additionally, it might be helpful to communicate openly and honestly with your dad about your feelings and how you would like to work on your relationship. Remember that healthy relationships involve forgiveness, understanding, and a willingness to work through challenges.
It's also important to remember that everyone is unique and it's not uncommon to have these types of thoughts and feelings. It's not a problem in the sense that it's a mental health disorder, but rather a common human experience that many people can relate to.
Thank you for this 💜 I def think I should go to therapy.. I try to make sense of it in my own mind but I just can't come up with anything
