Is it normal how sometimes I missed Utah more then Texas?

I grew up in Texas but for some weird reason I felt so attached to Utah considering I have so many good close friends who live in Provo Utah.

Yes its normal. Coming from a place thats flat then to mountains. Even though Texas has the hill country, its different.

I can understand why you said you miss you too. Utah has an excellent climate. Great snow for skiing, dry climate comfortable Summers.
