Why are people moving to Texas?

People need to stay at the state they belong. I hate New Yorkers I can't stand them. I will do everything possible to get fired people at my job that had just move to Texas. STOP MOVING TO TEXAS PEOPLE. TRAFFIC IS HORRIBLE AS IT IS!

Being a businessman in texas, I can certainly say our state is prioritizing it. Tax breaks and near interest free loans for corporations. But we also have the largest amount of uninsured Americans in the county. With high levels of poverty.

So it’s a tough call: California model vs Texas. Cali still has a 10:1 ratio of every 10 dollars it makes for the Feds, it only takes $1 in welfare. Texas is about 1:1, breaking even.

Ironically the Bible Belt votes against welfare increases constantly while having the biggest welfare populace, bar none.

A lot of the migration into Texas is by moderate and conservative middle-class people fleeing California and New England. They tend to be more from southern California than from the Bay Area. Austin attracts the minority who are liberal. This migration is probably why Texas is still Republican. It is the growth of democrat-leaning demographics and foreign-origin people in Texas that has been narrowing the Republican lead there.

We have a similar problem in the UK, where the monied people from London and the South East move to villages in the North and West of England and then expect the locals to adapt to their way of thinking and they turn into Karen's and Ken's when they are told to bugger off and nobody wants to 'get to know them'.

For the same reason they're moving to Florida: the places they've come from are lousy, and have little to no prospect for improvement. Texas is better off. They're refugees, really, just intra-country ones.
