+1 yWhat's your source on that? Who told you Americans don't like Texas and Kansas?
Honestly, Kansas is kind of a flyover state. It's not that Americans don't like Kansas. It's just that, unless we live there, we hardly ever have a reason to think about Kansas.
Texas is another matter. Americans have been moving to Texas in droves for years. It's one of the fastest-growing States in America. It might be THE fastest-growing state in America.

I think the reason why people might not like Texas is because it can be pretty racist down there. But for the most part like any other state, it’s only a small number of people like that. there's a bunch to do down there, Dallas and Houston I love visiting. And they got cheap housing too and no income tax! I think the main reason people don’t like Texas, probably the people. I always find it interesting their obsession with Texas and, even though many will deny it, their odd obsession with the California, they always got something to say about California lol.
For Kansas, it’s the fact that it’s double land locked, flat, and gets the worst of the tornadoes and it’s sparsely populated. Also what is there to really do in Kansas? The most popular city, Kansas City, is mainly in Missouri, the next state over lol. So that’s why people don’t like Kansas there really isn’t anything there besides grass and terrible storms lol

spoken like someone who has never been to kansas. sad.
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yPeople mostly hate Texas because of their policies and laws. It’s also that Texans can be quite obnoxious and represent the stereotypical loud, proud American.
Kansas, no one hates Kansas, it’s just that there’s nothing there. It’s one of those states with very little growth. In fact, most people only think of Kansas when it has to do with the Wizard of Oz. Funnily enough, Kansas City, which is in Missouri, is a more popular place than the entire state of Kansas.
A state people actually hate, is Florida. Most Americans hate Florida. And for good reason.10 Reply

It's top tier for working or raising a family, but not really a great state to just go visit on vacation because there's not much here that isn't intended more for being like a seasonal weekend trip (again, catering to local families).
Kansas there's really no reason to go there unless you've got family, school, or work in the state. I've got some relatives and maybe still an ex there, but most of them are crazy so I haven't been in a few years, nor plan to.
10 Reply5.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I don't know about Kansas. Not many people are flocking to move there, but there are some interesting things there to see and do. I never heard anyone putting it down.
Texas is actually pretty popular. A lot of Californians moved there because Democratic politicians are ruining California with high taxes, "woke" policies, and increases in crime and homelessness.10 Reply12.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. You ever watch movies with rednecks? Most of those places are filmed, and the accents are from; Texas or Kansas.
Both think they have a "tough" and "macho" living. But these days people think "Brokeback mountain" or "Kevin" instead.

Texans and Kansasans? Kansasites? Whatever... sound nothing alike. Rednecks in movies are typically voiced with an accent from the midatlantic or southeast U. S. down through the lower Gulf states. Alabama, South Carolina, Louisiana... Kansas not so much.

Kansas has tornadoes... just watch The Wizard of Oz.
Texas has its own electric grid, separate from the rest of the states, and wants to be its own country, which it once was.
10 Reply 6.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. What? Some do, some don't. Parts of Texas have their points. Dallas has excellent theater and a great jazz scene. I was in downtown Austin in Spring 2021 for a convention and it was great. Fine weather, good restaurants, very walkable.
10 Reply26.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Who says that they don't? I had basic training in San Antonio and spent a lot of time in Oklahoma. I liked it just fine.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yAmericans do like Texas which is why it is the most successful state. With steady demographic and economic growth for decades now. At this rate Texas will replace California as the largest state within a few decades.
As someone who knows both states that is impressive given California geographically has soo many natural atvantages over Texas.
Kansas has a democratic governor trying to run the state too much like a city so it kind of sucks right now.00 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yKansas is mostly just one big wheat field. Not a lot to get excited about there. Even the cities aren't much more than a strip mall, Walmart, and QuikTrip. The Speedway does help, but that is in the KC metro area; so the rest of Kansas is left out. I think most people don't like Texas because Texans are fairly prideful.

Urban Texas is VERY cosmopolitan and I (NYer) would like to visit!! Texas is no different than any other traditionally southern state with bigots and racists
Kansas I only know two things: Flat & tornadoes.
Opinion Owner+1 y@DrPepper12 there's a reason us black folks are fleeing northern cities for southern States.
