My parents enrolled me in a self-defense class from an early age. They wanted me to be ready to finish any attack but never start one. They both claimed things have changed and girls aren't into just slapping anymore.
Ironically I never got into any fights (therefore never had to use my skills outside of class) but have witnessed a couple girl fights in my school and one time in college. A couple of time actually packed a punch and were actually more brutal. They didn't just want to rip the another's girl's clothes off nor humiliate her with a slap, but it was a real fight, beating the hell out of each other, punches, kickes included too. A couple of them ended in one of the girls having a bloody nose or swollen cheeks.
My parents are noticed that sudden change over the years too. Why are they nowadays fighting more brutal with each other? What changed?

People tend to copy what they see in the media.
A while back, combat sports weren’t widely available to women.
And even then, it wasn’t mainstream.
Then came the UFC and female fighting divisions.
Girls now had an example, a model for how to fight a fight and win, as a woman.
Why would they slap and scratch after watching combat athletes like Ronda Rousey dominate her opponents in a cage fight?
They have more examples to follow, because if the media, so they have a better idea of what good fighting looks like.
So, they can either train formally, or copy what they’ve seen on tv.
That’s my speculation. 🤔
cause in the wake of feminism, women got more masculine. violence comes with masculinity. you can't choose the good parts exclusively. you always also get the bad parts.
The bad ones are making the rest of us look bad. But yes the last girl fight I saw, one had a bloody nose and the other a bloody lip and even when both were separated, they still wanted to continue the fight, not caring about what damage they had.
It's a good thing my parents made that decision. It's better to know how to defend yourself and never need to use it than be totally clueless and get knocked out by one of those, masculine, violent ratchets.
well i know not all girls are violent :D not all men are either. i'm not like feminists who judge an entire gender by their worst examples. the best defense is avoiding combat.
I blame feminism which is teaching women to copy what men do
It's a degenerative generation. They have no idea that's not what attracts men. They parents were indeed in getting me enrolled in martial arts. It's better knowing the skills even if you never needed to use them than having to encounter a violent girl like that and not knowing anything beyond just slapping.
