Who would you save?

I was recently asked by a good friend of mine who would I save: my dog or my friend? This was a very good question and I thought that I would be a great question to ask you guys and see y'all's take on it.

The question deliberately puts you into a meaningless impossible situation, whatever you choose you are damned for it so I will make no choices.

Clearly the prefered outcome is that both are saved and to speak of anything in terms of it being a choice is jibberish, a choice in a box is no choice at all.

Whatever happens happens and I am not going to be made to feel like any of it is my fault.

Which friend? lol j/k My dog is pretty adorable but old and only has maybe two years left. My friends are all late 20's and early 30's with probably 50 or more years to go. Fairly easy choice.
