I believe in living, loving and appreciating every moment. I deal with unpleasant things when they arise. I mean, life isn't a bowl of cherries. But I try to have a good attitude and think on the bright side. It's better than focusing on being miserable.

that's the best time to decide to start over, with a new perspective. I've been there, and life changes every 10 years, get used to life changing and forcing change.
Check out this lady... she has reason and she's 91! Turn off the garbage inputs (phone, junk friends, etc..), turn up the positive ones! Even trees prune their branches of old dead wood, clean out your crap, closets, etc..

Whoa? Who told you if you hold your screams in it gets better? That is not true. You cannot deny your own feelings. It's the opposite, letting it out, but redirecting and finding better. Freedom of your heart, that is the good. If you felt bad, there is a reason. Crying is natures way of cleaning out the trauma of bad feelings.
One of my most memorable moments was seeing a leader at church, when I just started attending and didn't believe or know anything, and he was very open and honest about his problems. That was refreshing... people being honest. It's cleansing. The way out is to authentic, to find and address the traumas you experienced, clear that junk out, so you can give the good from your heart.
Check out "Jewel"s story... same thing. She went through misery, but did the right things and came out the other side in the sunshine. She's lived quite the life! She has a website she built to help others Jewelneverbroken.
We're all humans dropped into the same messed up world. We have to find our way to better place, each in our own way. The whole idea... is to live your best and fullest life, that probably means finding ways that you give back and express yourself.

You will have to want it... noone can force it on you. But we all have to make the choices and do the work, we are all individuals.

Want what? Nothing we do matters and nothing is enjoyable for me

We'd really have to explore that more. why is nothing enjoyable? if you want to try and talk off line, lmk. Look... there are reasons you are like this. Maybe it's who you are, and that's ok. My guess is you have more depth of feeling than that, and it's just shut off.
You aren't' the first guy disconnected from feelings and emotions... but you have a brain and a mind and a heart!
I had to work hard to understand myself, to rediscover myself... was a long process. It's work, suffering, experience, loss, gain, discover... life! It be nice if life was easy, but it's not.

As to what matters, the purpose and all... this gets into deep philosphy. Maybe you are 10x smarter than me there and need some greater thinkers whove pondered such thoughts. To me... life is right now, living fully in the moment. I was just watching some video that hit this note if you want me to send it to you, hit the note for me anyways... that we can change the future. not sure about the past... but the future... that's relevant, isn't it?
