I loved my grandpa A LOT. He passed away 1.5 year ago.
I visited my grandpa’s grave when I lived in my country and made it my ritual, when everyone else leaves, I stay for a bit more, sit there and I quietly sing a song that he loved and that we used to sing together. My voice is quiet, as if it will get lost in the sound of wind, but at that time I feel like if he’s somewhere, he must hear me.
He loved music. It makes me feel closer to him, as if I can make him happy and we can still share some wonderful moments together, even when he’s gone.
I visited his grave, the day before I had a flight to China, where I currently live.
He was a beautiful soul.
I kissed the ground before I left… I hope my voice sounds like a lullaby for his peaceful forever sleep. When I go back to my country, I’ll visit him again…
He has a great granddaughter.👌
@OfMiceandMen He’s an amazing grandfather.
Thank you…
I live just down the road from the local cemetery, and I often go there just for the peace and quiet, and to read the tombstones. I've even taken a few photographs in the hope of capturing a ghost or two.
I no longer live in my hometown, where my parents are buried. Every few years, I visit relatives there, and always try to take a few hours and pay my respects at my parents' and grandparents' graves. I did that in January this year when I attended a relative's funeral.
Yes, I visit my wife on occasion, she is about 2 hours away so her family can visit. I take my daughter and we visit her whenever we are up in that way, among other people.

I used to visit my father's grave but it has been years since I have done it.
Do you know why you may have stopped?
A few times a year. My Mom, Oma, Opa, and Uncle.
Yes, both my papa’s and my mother are there
I'm in cemeteries several times per week for burials. Besides that, I look after quite a few gravesites.
A few times a year - usually around an upcoming holiday
No. My grandparents grave is in the town where my uncle lived when alive and I still go every few years to visit cousins, but I haven't been to their grave since their funerals.
When my kitty cat died, I had her laid in a casket and buried at the pet cemetery. I visited her before.
I don't have any realtives in a graveyard.
Yes, I don't know why. Just feels more appropriate to sob at a grave than anywhere else I guess.
Now this is a tough one for me. I think when it comes to cemeteries, I am more sensitive than most.
No, no one is interested nearbybut even if they were I wouldn't.
Occasionally, but just some random graves. I know where nobody is buried.
