Was this a dig at me?

So I don't know if this was a dig or not but it had made me embarrassed and kind of ashamed. I graduate early this weekend from college. My friends all graduate next year. I am having a small cookout to celebrate. Anyway. My friend says today something about the food and whatnot. I don't know what we’re having but my grandparents threw it last minute so I’m grateful. I let that roll then my frind says “my mom say I hope u don’t want no cookout I thought u would’ve wanted a trip or something” so she tells me to lookout for a trip next year. But it made me feel embarrassed for only wanting a cookout

I know it just doesn’t feel great. Makes me feel like everyone is talking about it or thinking it also. I don't know.

It shouldn't matter, you liked and enjoyed your cookout right? You appreciate the work and effort that your family put into it right? Then who cares about the decibels that came out of someone else's mouth lol
