Why do people from all boys school talk about me so easily, they dont even know me and somehow one day they bring me up, am I the bad person?

So i found out that my "friends" from all boys schools like to talk, since they probably have nothing better to do. I goto an all girls school so there's no way i see them everyday. One day i was on a phone call w my friend and she brought it up to me that boys at this school liked to talk about me (sometimes good sometimes bad) it made me really uncomfortable as i didn't even goto this school, nor have i talked to some of the people mentioned. They didn't say anything along the lines as i talked to every guy there or anything (because i dont) but they said things like "she's just ew, she's weird asf, she's a nobody", and that just made me feel very low about myself. I dont know what i did wrong to be honest as i literally just try to mind my own buisness. I dont know if im the problem or if im the bad person.
