Why do I get talked down upon by guys?

Ugh another night of getting talked down upon by guys. I swear the idea I might actually understand nerd lingo is so foreign to them. Yes I watch anime I know Goku is Naruto’s father.

Thing is, the "nerd" side has always mostly been followed by guys. When I was younger, being a nerd was really mocked openly by girls, even just talking about video games got me mocked pretty harshly by the ladies.
So even if it's getting more open nowadays, many "nerds" still remember the time it was ridiculed.
As for you, I thought we agreed that you were the most awesome lady around, so forget about those guys and come with us instead.

They just never take me seriously even though I’ve been into nerd culture since childhood and know a lot of intricacies about the various franchises. It’s like they think it’s not possible a woman could know these things or something.
