Why do people talk to me like I’m a teenager?

My parents tell me not to post my personal information when I got my first passport. I’m not stupid. I know not to post my personal info. They talk to me like I’m 15 years old when I’m 26. I’m autistic not stupid. They don’t tell my older siblings that. I mean they’re older. This always happens to me. I’m an ADULT. Stop reminding me of things like you would to a child/teen. I know they’re looking out for me but come on! Even though I act like an adult I STILL get spoken to like a child. Stop treating me differently.

A lot of people do not understand autism. Plus there are different levels of autism. But they are considered to be very intelligent. They just can't process some things as others do.

Tell your parents you love them when they annoy you. One day they will not be there. They do this because they care enough to. Just think, nobody else will care this much. When they are gone you will most certainly feel their loss.
