Have you gotten meaner as you've gotten older?

I've certainly had gotten meaner and less patient as I've gotten older. When I was a kid, I was the kindest soul in the world. But as I got older, I just realized that half of everyone on earth are just scumbags in sheep's clothing. Extraordinary, respectable, decent people are the minority rather than the majority. I've just came to realize that a lot of people on earth do not deserve kindness. A lot of people are great at acting nice but they're not truly nice. And the worst people on earth know that the best way to take advantage of someone boils down to how good they are at putting on a sweet facade.

Tough to say. On one aspect I've grown more understanding and hold my tongue a LOT more than I used to. Otherwise there's a couple aspects that I'd love to rectify that would most likely end up with me in jail.

just cuz they didn't fuck you over, it doesn't mean they haven't fucked someone else over. and they will do it to you too when the right opportunity arises

Asker yes there is some bad people in this world. I have made the mistake of letting people into my inner circle who seemed like good upstanding people who turned out to be crazier then a bed bug

I have also rejected people who were genuine. If sucks.

I do my best to be nice and polite. But it doesn’t mean I have to let people walk all over me

Just because you don't let other people walk all over you, it really doesn't make you immune from getting hurt by others. Half of all people on earth aren't decent people. Very few are extraordinary. You'd be lucky if you could even find a decent person.

Some of the people who hurt me the most in life were actually the NICEST people I've ever met.

And this is because we tend to trust people who come off as nice, sweet and trustworthy. First impressions never work. It takes time to truly get to know a person

Yes I agree it’s definitely split. Good and bad but there is some extraordinary people and we have to stick together

I have hurt people and I don’t mean to. Everyone has and anyone were around regularly will at some point hurt us. Some way or another.

Some things are obviously more forgivable then others. But. None of us are perfect. It’s not a excuse to intentionally hurt people. But it’s bound to happen

We all have hurt someone at some point in our lives. But I can definitely say that some people are just pure evil, sadistic, and selfish. Wolves in sheep's clothing. Some people would do things that I could never dream of doing. This is what differentiates a good person from the bad. And you really do not need to be a burglar, robber, rapist, serial killer in order to be a bad person.

I've bad my fair share of being mistreated or taken advantage of by others. When I was young, I just didn't know what to do so I just sucked it up. Now, I openly bully people who I deem as a bad person.

Asker I do understand a million percent. Some people are pure evil and we can’t become like them. We can’t become the monster we are fighting.

I feel like there is also some people who used to genuinely be good people. Who turn into that because people have been this way to them.

After so many years of experience dealing with people, you really do not know if someone is truly kind , decent until you really take your time to get to know them for a very long time. By this I mean YEARS.

My parents comes off to everyone as nice, decent family. But in reality, they're abusive, narcissistic, bad tempered, inconsiderate, unkind behind closed doors.

I've had the nicest people on earth try to rip me off or use me. The nicest people were the only ones who hurt me the most in life.

I will always be a nice person. But honestly, sometimes if you want to get treated the way you want to be treated, you must be mean. Some people see "kindness" as weakness.
