Men do you find it easier or harder raising a daughter?

For the men out there that are either soon to be dads or already had kids, do you find daughters easier or harder to raise?

My dad was the typical story of daydreaming about having boy (teaching him his hobbies) but got me instead. I've been told he literally cried when holding me for the first time and came to loving me more than his own life. Seriously are we a challenge?

I didn’t have boys. My daughters have challenged me to grow. I’m not saying one is better or easier but I wouldn’t change a thing. Being a good parent is never “easy” but if you take it seriously then it’s such a blessing. Regardless of how “hard” it is.

I have both sons and daughters. Up til now (she's 11) my daughter has been easier than my son's. I'll let you know in 7 years. Complicating the analysis, though, is that she's the youngest of four -- birth order matters.

Raising a son is harder. Girls smart, they know the best for themselves and adaprt really well and sensitive to their environment. Boys on the other hand...

I would rather have a daughter, at least first, but I do think it's easier to raise a boy in this day and age with the internet, social media, hookup culture, lack of morals, etc. It's difficult to raise any child, regardless.

Boys and girls are equally challenging to raise but for different reasons and at different ages.

With boys, you only have to worry about one peepee.
With girls you have to worry about all of them.

@Andres77 Yep, and you also have to deal with the emotional cyclone girls go through from age 6 - 20.

@Andres77 That too. But also, daughters tend to be around to take care of their parents more than sons do. Not always, but generally.
