Was this mean of my parents?

When I was 10 me and my dad were walking home from my school, it was about a 10 minute walk. A bird shit on me and it went all down the side of my face, ear, shoulder and school uniform and I was crying. My dad told me to wait outside because he hadn't finished getting his newspaper and other things

On my first day of school when I was really young all the parents stayed with their kids to help them settle in and i was crying begging my mom to stay with me and she said she couldn't because she had to go to work. All the others stayed and I was crying my eyes out

Is that normal parenting or would you handle them differently?

Since being an adult, have you spoken to them about these two incidents and how they made you feel?

Unfortunately, we can’t undo what has happened in the past. I’m sure everyone’s parents have done some effed up things, but there’s nothing we can do about it. All we can do is move on with our lives and try to make amends. 😌

I’d say they were unkind things. As I said, though, we cannot go back an undo what was done to us. All we can do is try to make amends and move on. Are your parents still alive? If so, try talking with them about how those incidents made you feel.
