Are my parents being unfair?

Im 19 my sister is 21. We both still live in my parent’s house. Meaning we each have a part to do within the house. My sister and I share a bathroom she cleaned the bathroom ONCE this whole year. Her and her boyfriend uses the bathroom in the basement on weekends and make it disgusting. I cleaned it once for them she didn’t even say thank you. I’ve asked her many times to help but she doesn’t. I told my mom the situation and see is not doing anything about it. I work full time but I still come home and clean the WHOLE house and more. My sister can’t even clean the bathroom. My mom is saying I’m the rude one for saying she doesn’t do anything. What should I do?

You live somewhere for free and all you have to do is clean? Sounds like a good deal to me. It doesn't have to be fair. It's your parents house they can charge you rent and have your sister live there for free if they wanted. You are an adult you should know the world isn't fair.

Talk to your sister directly and tell her what you told your mom, if she doesn’t do it eventually she’s going to get sick of the how dirty it is if you don’t do it as often as you do and she will have to clean it unless she doesn’t care and is a pig

My boyfriend doesn’t, but my sister’s boyfriend does because he lives 2 hours away. I said the same thing but once again my mom just says it is what it is

Get a job. Save up. Start building your credit (if you haven’t already)

An option is go to a 4 year university out of state and live in a dorm. That’s tied to your tuition/student loans.

Or, another option is joining the military.

Lots of girls I met during my time in, joined to get away from home.
