How to deal with somebody that panicked on the motorway while driving?

I visited my cousin in Canada from the uk and she panicked on the motorway with 4 or 5 lanes and completely stopped. I also don’t have a licence so I couldn’t help her or obviously know the directions around the city of Toronto. I felt like she was very rude as she was shouting and entire was just exhausting as she was obviously having a hard time driving

tell her relax take a deep breath and if not pull over where its safe to be pulled over. she's not ready to be out on the road though, i personally wouldn't get back in the car with her

she needs more practice though, i have one friend who had year behind her but horrible at driving she's been in 5 accidents now. she starts freaking out.

Coach her gently to a safe place on the shoulder of the road.

But frankly it doesn't sound to me like she's that used to driving. She should probably take some more driving lessons.

Sounds like she might have had an anxiety attack. In that situation, Id focus on trying to calm her down.
