I like all animals. Kitty cats are cute and cuddly. I used to have a black cat with yellow eyes. Her name was Katie. At night, she used to sit on my stomach and sleep, and her soft purring was calming and would help me sleep. Her nails were a little sharp though, other than that, I loved having her close to me.

I also had a Yorkie named Hanzel. Loved that dog. He used to sleep beside me. That dog loved going for walks and loved when I would rub his belly. He did all kinds of tricks like shook with his paw, he would grab his leash when he wanted to walk, and when I would point to something, he would pick it up.

Animals are so precious. The other day this baby bird fell out of the nest and the mama bird was trying to get it to fly but the poor little thing was too young to fly. I cupped my hands and picked it up, putting it back in its nest. The mommy bird watched me the whole time, lol.

I could never choose with pet I like best. I would adopt them all if I could!

My preference is cats. I currently have an old man cat named Uncle Thunder (my profile picture.) He lives outside during the day, comes inside to eat than goes back outside, comes inside when it is cold or raining, and he comes in at night so he has a safe, dry place to sleep. He is extremely low maintenance but friendly, talkative, likes to be petted, and usually comes when I call his name. I can leave for a weekend and he takes care of himself.

Never owned a cat but there are some stray cats that wait outside my door for me and they are so adorable and friendly. I feed them and give them water.

I agree. Cats have soft fur and aren't stinky. They aren't slobbery. They are cute and funny. They are low maintenance. All you have to do is feed them and clean their litter box. You don't need to walk them or give them constant attention.

depends what you want from a cat. if you want an egoistic asshole who get's belly rubs when THEY want and scratch you up if they don't, who also occasionally puke all over your valuables, then cats is the right choice xD don't get me wrong. i love cats. they're my favourite pets. but they are assholes xD

I prefer cats because you don't have to walk them, they can manage on their own. You can hold them like you can a dog, you can learn it tricks. It also gives the cutest headbutts.

it's subjective... i recently had a dog... jack russell of 18 years and she was human like in many ways knew 100s of words and knew how to get what she wanted food and walks.

I think the best pet depends on the person. I would imagine the more quiet and reserved people typically prefer cats and the more social and extroverted typically prefer dogs.

Me. I do consider it the next best thing after a dog... but it requires a lot less maintenance and I value that a lot. They are also more laid back. Love them so much.
