No, I think both influence a child in different ways and both are important to the development of the child and eventual introduction to adulthood as a functional member of society.
Each will have a greater or lesser importance at different times in their life.

There usually is one parent you’re more like than the other. Parents can’t be equally liked. That’s impossible.


Also gender may be a factor. I’ve seen mommas boys and daddy’s girls.
