Character is innate, you can't actually teach it.
You can try to teach it, but ultimately how your kid responds to anything they experience is do to their individual genetic combination.
Everything from comprehension capability, to personal preferences, to what they find funny or disturbing, its all in their specific genetic makeup. The only thing you can teach is information, and hope that what they do with that information is good.
This is why the term "bad seed" exists, because there are going to be situations where a person is just horrible no matter what you do to teach them right from wrong.
There are also just as many cases of wonderful people being born from awful parents, even when no one was around to teach them right from wrong. Because the capacity for empathy is something you are born with.
When you see someone else suffering, either the instinct to feel sorry for them, or the instinct to not care, or the instinct to laugh at them just "happens", like a reflex, and which instinct you are born with is a crap shoot.
nope... it isn't as simple as that
a lot of kids so spend a lot more time with schools and or siblings... and that has a great impact as well
Both are responsible. My nephew has 2 neglectful parents and when we have him over he often repeats things they tell him to himself. And neither are super present, but they both have a big affect on his life. So you can't put the blame on just one parent regardless of who is more present
both play great role

Both the mother and father are responsible for their kids behaviour, but it doesn't completely fall on them. Your brain is already wired a certain way when you're born and that's basically who you are. So even if you have a good upbringing and your parents only tried to teach you good values their entire lives, you could still grow up to be a shitty person.
No it's both parents at all times parents need to understand that their child is nothing but a big sponge for the moment you wake up and yawn burp fart comb your hair talk on the phone walk the dog no matter if it's positive or negative they are going to pick up on it and that's who they become so parents need to treat their spouses with kindness however they want their child to be that's how they have to be in their life
If this were the case single moms would be able to have perfect children on their own. In society we see both roles are very important and both parents teach different things. The child needs two unified role models so it doesn't become a tug of war. So I think putting this to a single parent is not accurate, it taks two.
I think I took a lot more after my father (even to a fault at times), but my mother and father both worked together from our home originally and I think spent near equal time with me when I was a child.
Also a lot of my core values I got initially from my father, like how to stand up for myself, how to be a gentleman and strive to protect others, the importance of disciplining our emotions, etc.
No. Mothers are responsible for the emotional health of the children. Fathers teach the children character. A good father raises good women and good men. A good mother raises emotionally health women and emotionally healthy men. That is why it is so important that both parents are present
both parents are responsible for raising their kids. Neglect or overprotection can be the same bad.
fathers can have an equal part in raising their kids if they want
Both parents work together to teach then values and morals. They should both spend time with their children 🙂. I remember I learned a lot from spending time with both my mom and dad.
I always say that I wish that I could take the credit for how well my kids have turned out but it was really her that did it.
Yes, absolutely. Mothers contribute a large part in the character development of a child.
Not really , since mothers might not have that much child rearing activities beyond just spending time. What determines your character is what you are taught.
For small kids, yes. It's the primary job of a mother to raise her son or daughter to behave appropriately.
I’m pretty sure both parents play roles for their children.. but my pops taught me many things 🤣
I think both parents contribute equally, UNLESS said parent is a single mother, than yes its on her the way her children turn out.
They are both responsible for the kids' behavioral development. However, I suppose since the mother is the most likely to be present, the task mostly falls on her.
I would say manners from a mother and character from a father
Parents- collectively- are responsible for their kids.
Not exclusively if both parents are living at home
Yeah
