What are/were your parents mainly strict about?

My parents were pretty strict. Not helicopter parents strict or tiger parents strict, but for average parents they were strict. I was only allowed to eat so much sweets a day, I had to do decent in school (without being disowned if I don`t have 100% all the time like some Asian parents do), when I was small and went out I had to come back at the time that I promised, I was only allowed to watch movies and play games that were rated my age. Honestly now that I`m older I think those were decent rules. Did it suck as a child to not be allowed to eat more sweets or watch movies and games that were rated above your age? Of course it did, but it was a reasonable rule if you look at it as an adult.

about tidying up my own place mostly. and also allowance. they didn't have much when i was young, so basically i always had to work for whatever money i got.

My dad is ex-military. So our place was obviously always very tidy and spotless. I think I frustrated him a lot with my creative messes. My mom didn't like me staying at home from school when I was sick, so I was always scared to tell her I didn't feel well. I usually left and had my grandma pick me up later.
