One of my favorite people in my family is my mother's cousin who is homosexual because he NEVER "came out" to his family and created that awkward disrespect for the rest of us who have no interest in hearing about it. We already knew he was homosexual after he divorced a British supermodel in the 60s and moved in with a guy who he brought to all the family gatherings. We didn't need to hear it!
He had the respect for his family to KEEP HIS SEXUALITY TO HIMSELF and not selfishly rid himself of any sense of guilt about what he was doing which had nothing to do with us. He is in his late 80s now. To this day I respect him for that.
Do whatever you want in your sex life as long as it is between consenting adults. That's your business. But SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT IT. If you are going to flaunt it, have public displays of sexuality and parades or "come out" when others don't want to hear it, then that makes it MY business and you deserve whatever scorn you get.
I would tell you to stick the LGBTQABCDEFGHIJKLMNOP- movement up your ass, but then you'd probably enjoy it.
I knew a guy in high school. He was fat and very unattractive, but he was really smart, literate, informed, artistic, funny, and anti-establishment. He wasn't a close friend, but we used to hang out and party with him.
One time, he disappeared for a couple of days. When he showed up, he said that he had been with some random guy he met and realized that he was a latent homosexual.
We all acted like it was no big deal. After all, this guy was never going to get a girlfriend. So at least he got his rocks off or at least had physical contact with someone. We didn't celebrate it or anything, but we accepted it. This would have been maybe around 1972.
We continued to hang out with him. A couple years later, he decided to live a voluntary homeless lifestyle. Someone would see him from time to time, but he eventually faded out of our lives.
Someone heard about him years later and said he was working and doing okay.
Yes. Not exclusively, but like early in the process. One male, one female. Neither was a surprise or mystery. They were so stereotypically gay, it was an open secret.
I reacted by not really caring. It was not information I needed to know or wanted to know.
no. but someone at work messaged the whole group chat saying they were now trans and explaining it. i just didn't think it was completely necessary because we've seen the changes before they mentioned anything.

Yeah my best mate actually. I found out he was gay when we were kids still, I was about 10 and he was 13. I was a bit confused to what it actually meant him liking boys, but I was mostly fascinated actually haha. I hadn’t started to get any sexual feelings yet so I didn’t really know myself. I even questioned whether I liked boys too because he did… he was like an older brother to me and I copied everything he did lmao. When I was in my early teens I kissed a guy, and confirmed I was definitely straight !
I wasn’t surprised when an old friend I knew in college did this. I pretty much already knew. I just “no problem. Just don’t wear pink socks and rainbow shorts.” We both laughed hysterically.
I’m a conservative libertarian. Which I do not care what you do just as long you don’t interfere why personal life and beliefs.”
But the modern alphabet people nowadays are anything but “you do my thing and I’ll do yours. No. They want to force people to identify with “preferred pronouns”. They want to teach “trans education” to K-3 children. They want to dig up old social media posts of stupid things someone said 10-15 years ago (e. g. Kevin Hart) and cancel them. They want to put you on the spot about their ideology and if you don’t accept then they will come cancel you.
My friend did it 2 years ago and it didn't really shock me what actually did was her confessing she had feelings for me at some point. I kinda felt privileged. Although I'm straight, I liked it when she confessed, it was sort of a validation (?)
Not EXACTLY, but my BFF took his erect penis out in the recreation when we were 14 and told me to take mine out? I went home, but assumed he was bi- or bi curious
no. i mean "coming out" was a thing in the 70s. today everyone is gay and nonbinary. nothing special anymore.
One of my best friends did. We were probably 20 or 21 years old. He was acting all weird so I straight up asked him if he was gay and he said yes he was.
My friend did. I was very positive and supportive.
had a girl come out to me as bi once, was supportive
Never happened to me. My best friends are a gay couple but they had already get out of the closet years before we met.
Yeah one of my friends came out as a furry. Told him I cannot speak dog and haven't spoke to him since.
My friend did when we were at a music festival. And I said "Oh, yes. I know. I figured that already." And she was all shocked I already figured that out. Lol
My first girlfriend she had met someone. It was a hard blow but she let me f*ck her for a week until she went off to college. Her girlfriend is lovely.
I don’t think so tbh…I have a lot of LGBT+ friends but they were all already out when we became friends.
Twice that I can think of offhand. Once I knew, once i suspected, didn't care either time.
Yes and I didn't care. My only comment was "Just don't get all preachy about it." Accept who you are and move on.
Nah I probably wouldn’t be that supportive so I’d have them talk to someone else
I guess my sister tried but we really felt she was confused. And she was so 🤷♀️
Yeah one of my best friends did I didn’t react actually since we were just friends and had always been cool with eachother also he knew I didn’t swing that way
Yes they did, and I didn't react very well. I prefer to know someone's sexual orientation before they "come out" so I know how to react.
Twice, I felt uncomfortable as hell cuz I’m straight lol
Yes. My ex best friend is either bi or lesbian and one of my best friends is gay. Tbh I didn't really care.
Several friends have and I told them it was no big deal and that life is short so just be happy with who you are.
Yes and I just said ok and carried on as normal. It didn’t change a thing , we still carry on in our normal friendship
Well I came out to my family my siblings and friends accepted me. My parents took them a while. I have people tell me they are probably doesn’t hurt that I’m also out.
Didn’t care I just wanted him to get back online and finish the match
Right now. I'm coming out... I'm FREE NOW... I want to tell the world I'm heterosexual. Feel free to praise me for my unbelievable courage. Anytime.🤝
Yes my best friend. I told him I didn't believe him and to prove it. He proved it on me! lol
Well kinda... this guy I used to work with eventually told me he was bi but I kinda suspected before he finally stopped hiding it
Nope thank god cause idc who you sleeping with like why do i need to know so dramatic
I reacted with "I KNOW!"
Yes, and I always feel so happy for them.
Yes. She's now married.
No , no one come to me
No. They just acted like it and i assumed.
No don't support it
Yes I told them I still loved them
No, thankfully.
