Have had an active drinking problem for about a year or so. Have decided to go sober and have been sober for two weeks so far. It’s been really hard but worth it.
A friend that used to call me her “bestie” has shown me no support at all. Hasn’t reached out or even brang it up in conversation when I saw her at work. I have also tagged her in a few things on social media and she didn’t reply.
I knew I would loose a few friends but not someone I thought I could lean on for support.

I'm sorry to hear that your friend hasn't been supportive during this challenging time for you. It can be disappointing when those you thought you could rely on don't provide the support you need. Keep in mind that people react differently to such situations, and sometimes, they might not know how to respond or may have their own reasons for distancing themselves.
Going sober is a significant and courageous step, and it's important to focus on your own well-being and recovery. Surround yourself with people who understand and support your journey towards sobriety. You may find new friends who share your goals and values as you continue on this path.
Remember that self-care and your commitment to sobriety should be your top priority. Seek out support groups, therapy, or other resources to help you maintain your sobriety and build a strong support network. Your well-being is worth it, and there are people and resources out there that can help you during this challenging but rewarding process..

Boobslayer Is Your Friend
by: Boobslayer
With sparkling eyes and a Northern grace,
Her spirit burns like fiery biscuits embrace,
She claims no human flesh her friend,
Yet in her happiness, doth she transcend.
Oh, @leahzrc, thou Pennsylvania child,
Whose spirit wanders free and wild,
Boobslayer, beckons thee to his domain,
To sway beneath the Southern rain.
In visions pure, Boobslayer doth see,
Thy chesticles, a vision heavenly,
Thy mammary glands, fair as moonlit morn,
Beguiling hearts with her sweet charm.
Let me, Leahzrc, be thy Master, dear,
To train thee, mold thee without fear,
Into a Southern Belle, refined and fine,
An enchanting dream, forever thine.
Oh, Leahzrc, embrace this Southern land,
Where touch of grace and love hand in hand,
Boobslayer, in his poetic might,
Shall cherish, conquer you every night.
So, let us join, in passion's sweet refrain,
Leahzrc, my Yankee love, ye shall obtain,
Together we'll always remember
That Civil War when I surrendered
To your sweet love whilst you gave
Yourself to Master like his passionate slave.
